Chris Abbey > They're a lot easier to get a shot of when they sit still and pose for you.
Chris Abbey > While the state bird is arguably either the Loon or the mosquito, Rochester's city bird is clearly the Giant Canada Goose, here a small flock makes more use of a local park's sports fields than humans do most days.
Chris Abbey > Another vistor to the cabin, one of many deer to drift through the back yard during our visit.
Chris Abbey > The cabin has a collection of humming bird feeders, hoping to attract the little marvels. Most of the time we were there, the feeders attracted only bees, wasps, and flys.... but this little guy paid us a visit for the better part of 20 minutes one day.
Chris Abbey > Petey, one of the inhabitants of the backyard of the cabin. Here enjoying a sunflower seed left out for him. This generation of Petey (the famiy's generic name for all squirel lie critters) seems far more skitish of people than those that were around when we last vistied the cabin three years ago.
